The exhibition "Anne Frank, a history for today" (by the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam with the Legislative Assembly collaboration of Emilia Romagna Region), tells the story of the Holocaust through essentially biographical angle.
Photographs, many unpublished images, quotations of Anne's diary pages tell the condition of a Jewish family during the Nazi period. At the same time, through meaningful photographs and documentary reproductions, the exhibition offers a detailed and accessible information on the historical context. The reference to the protection of human rights, effectively inserted in the last panels, invites us, starting from the knowledge of the past, to take an active part in the problems of the present.
For the opening, Wednesday, January 18 at 17.30 (Palazzo Ducale), Simona Generali presents the monologue "Vivere ancora" (To live again).
The exhibition will be open to the Doge's Palace until 11 February, and will be hosted in
- Capannori (Town Hall) from 16 February to 1 March.
- Forte dei Marmi (March 7 / 22).
- Castiglione di Garfagnana (March 25 / April 18).
